Frog guiro

On a log Mister Frog
Sang his song the whole day long
Glumph, glumph, glumph, glumph

Guiros (“gwearo”) involve scraping, which develops fine motor control in smooth, continuous motion. The frog shape gives context and character to the musical sound, along with the idea of “stroking” the back of the animal. Fun and helpful, although it requires supervision and demonstration as younger children will try to tap/beat the frog!
